Executive summary

 The Client

• Our customer provides solutions to Bridge, Drainage, and Storm Water since more than 100 years and is placed globally. They provide services for the civil engineering industry and provide innovative solutions for initial development and rehabilitation of existing structures and sites. They also offer landscaping, wall systems retention, erosion control and surface stabilization solutions.

 The Challenge

• The most challenging part of this project was to consolidate information/data from seven heterogeneous sources into a single Data Warehouse. Another challenge was to understand the design of Dashboards in Hyperion for identifying a suitable tool based on existing Hyperion platform. Data validation at source systems generated from Data Warehouse was also tedious.

The Solutions

• Our team implemented SSIS (SQL Server Integrating Services) to consolidate data by conducting detailed discussion on actual reporting/dashboard requirements with end users. We suggested Option Analysis with Pros/Cons for different tools, SQL server Reporting Services (SSRS). It helped in savings of approx $100K annually on Hyperion.
